why don't photographers like having their photo made by another photographer?

I was watching Chevolution and one of the people being interview made the offhand comment that photographers don't like having their photo made. It was a generalization... but it seemed to me to be an accurate one. But then... It's funny cause also recently I saw this article showing photographers posing with their "most iconic images". Maybe I am wrong...

cleaning up

I was going through my flickr account recently, reminising about some old photos there. I saw some that I liked going back almost 8 years ago. Over the long term, the good photos don't stand out as much on Flickr. They get stuck surrounded by the failures. I think it would be largely beneficial to clean up, hide from view all the photos that I think are not worthy. I consider this a long term curration. Something that I thought was good years ago, now I see it bland. I wonder why I chose those images back then. Maybe I was trying to fill the narative... I don't know. Reminds me of a quote from Garry Winogrand...

"Photographers mistake the emotion they feel while taking the photo as a judgment that the photograph is good”
